Welcome to the USS Antares!
The galactic south has become a hotbed of lawlessness. Each major incident in recent history has forced the Federation to send more and more of it's military forces north to help maintain the peace, leaving a power vacuum in its place. Into that vacuum has flowed pirates, slavers, and criminals. Some of the good men left behind have gone bad, some out of necessity, others out of greed. Now, the region threatens to crumble into chaos.
The USS Antares has been chosen as the first of many Federation vessels to return to the region and bring it back to the realm of stability. Their mission is to run out the pirates, track down the slavers, and root out villainy wherever it may hide. She will bring law to the south again.
Do you have what it takes to ride on the right side of the law? Join the USS Antares today!

It is with a great of pleasure that I announce that the USS Antares has been chosen as Pegasus Fleet's Sim of the Year for 2016! This was a huge honor, voted on by the entire fleet!
You guys ROCKED it last year and I know that 2017 is going to be another awesome run! I can't wait to see what stories we've got in store to tell!
Congratulations to you ALL for this awesome win!

We're back at the station folks! The Log I just posted pushed us forward. Have a bar fight, spend a sultry night with someone green, or sit around in zero-G staring at the ceiling! It's Shore leave time :)
Keep your eyes peeled, though! We're setting up some fun plot points on this shore leave! IF you want to be involved, let me or Kitty know!

I've failed in my COly duties! Please give a huge welcome (like extra huge since I screwed up and forgot to announce it before!) to Matt, who will be playing Lieutenant JG Sellehxian T'bex, our new diplomatic officer (lord knows our crew NEEDS a diplomat so Soren isn't the only sane one).
Welcome to the sim, Matt! Can't wait to see what you'll bring to the story!

Another new crew member today. Please welcome Matt B. to the sim, playing Lieutenant JG Zaverial Holder of Faith! He's playing another original race, which I think is awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll bring to the mad house.
Welcome aboard, Matt B! We're excited to have you!

The Captain's Log I just posted sets us on course for Operation Looking Glass. We've got 9 in game days to get there (I'd like to push forward to arrival in a week or so OOC). Feel free to write up any character dev stuff or posts to establish yourselves more over the next week.
I'll be kicking off some JPs to get things started for moving ahead in a week or so, so be ready for those!
Good luck and good writing!

Arrangements were being made.
Those four little words filled each extra bouncy step the Ts'usugi took as she walked down the hallways. Arrangements. The prospect of a live feed back to the Home Moons was unheard of... this level of diplomacy meant that talks must be going AMAZING back home.…
With shoreleave in full swing, it was expected for the local lounge to be a bit quieter than normal. What Valeria didn't expect, though, was a flat out closure of the lounge. There was a sign next to the door that stated that the lounge was not yet open, which…
Joe walked into sickbay, looking for one person: The current Assistant Chief Counselor. With Garran being reactivated, it was a short step to promote her into the chief role and have her take over his counseling duties. Unfortunately, counseling required a certain level of trust, and Intel officers very seldom…
Reluctantly, the ship's marine sniper headed to sickbay. Her shoulder was still bothering her after that fall she took a few days ago. As such the twin bioforms stepped inside and out of the way, simply awaiting their turn.
Sickbay seemed a little on the busy side today. First one…
The dual form of Val Seran sat at a table in the lounge, slightly out of the way from the main traffic. In front of her were four glasses filled with a faintly glowing blue liquid. Probably a Dalacari booze.
The table directly next to her's was soon approached by…

I took this job to escape from these kinds of things, you know. This should've been a nice and easy, cushy job, migrator willing. No more being shot at, no more being stabbed, no more people trying to kill me. I know I shouldn't complain about those things, they come…

Captain's Log, Stardate 68345.3
We've finally reached the Starbase and I think everyone is far past ready for some much needed R&R. A lot of things are still up in the air with the crew. I have no idea what's going through the minds of Hunter or T'Vana, but…

Captain's Log, Stardate 68320.6
We came, we saw, we managed to not get blown up. Information on the Gorn fleet hidden within the anomaly has been sent to Starfleet Command, and the USS Calypso took over searching the area for the remains of the device from us. We're finally heading…

2nd Lieutenant Moon Rayas Stardate 70628.6, I have been away from the Antares for the past two weeks escorting the USS Tyrant a federation Olympic class hospital ship to the Elgolis System, carrying key medical personnel and helping with the evacuation of areas on Nutara III devistated by floods. Captain's Log, Stardate 68289.4
We've launched to investigate an odd spacial anomaly near the border between Klingon and Gorn space. It could be nothing, or it could be something. It's preventing all scans to the inside. While many anomalies have fun features like that, the strategic placement of this one…
