Welcome to the USS Antares!

Lieutenant JG T'vana Williams

The galactic south has become a hotbed of lawlessness. Each major incident in recent history has forced the Federation to send more and more of it's military forces north to help maintain the peace, leaving a power vacuum in its place. Into that vacuum has flowed pirates, slavers, and criminals. Some of the good men left behind have gone bad, some out of necessity, others out of greed. Now, the region threatens to crumble into chaos.

The USS Antares has been chosen as the first of many Federation vessels to return to the region and bring it back to the realm of stability. Their mission is to run out the pirates, track down the slavers, and root out villainy wherever it may hide. She will bring law to the south again.

Do you have what it takes to ride on the right side of the law? Join the USS Antares today!

Hi all!

Another new crew member today. Please welcome Matt B. to the sim, playing Lieutenant JG Zaverial Holder of Faith! He's playing another original race, which I think is awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll bring to the mad house.

Welcome aboard, Matt B! We're excited to have you!

Hi all!

The Captain's Log I just posted sets us on course for Operation Looking Glass. We've got 9 in game days to get there (I'd like to push forward to arrival in a week or so OOC). Feel free to write up any character dev stuff or posts to establish yourselves more over the next week.

I'll be kicking off some JPs to get things started for moving ahead in a week or so, so be ready for those!

Good luck and good writing!

Hi all!

One in, one out, sadly.

Our own Lt. JG Silver is once again no longer with us after becoming unresponsive. I hope that he's well and that the road rises up to meet him. Until we meet again, good sir!

However, as Todd leaves, I'm happy to report that the lovely Lori will be joining us playing Lt. JG Kathryn Dallas, our new aCMO! Give her a warm welcome (and some JP starts!)

And keep rocking guys, I this crew :D

Hi all,

Just a few announcements: Voz (formerly Lex Knight, Orin, and Shandro) is no longer with us due to real life constraints. Luckily his role as Chief Sec/Tac Officer has been filled by our new player Yunalesca. She is super awesome, and I'm looking forward to playing with her going forward!

Next, going forward we'll be having a player of the month based on posting count. Our most prolific posters will have their name in lights (aka the front page). You may have already noticed that our own Ensign Faulkner is already listed above as this months winner (congrats!). A few ground rules Personal Logs don't count, and your post must have at least three paragraphs of three sentences each to by eligible to win (I don't think that'll be an issue for us). I'll be adding the rules to the house rules page shortly!

Rhimer out!

Sergeant Bauer lay back in his chair, resting as his team made the approach to the designated coordinates. His pilot, Corporal Lance Jackson navigated the ship towards their destination, nudging Bauer alerting him to their near proximity.

"Mister Cordale! Kill non-essential power!" Joe barked.

Down in Engineering, the Thux tapped in a few sequences on his terminal, fast enough that he was worried that his prosthetic would crack the display. "Cutting all non-essentials. Dumping live power to reserves." See, just cause you cut power didn't mean the…

"Ten seconds to outer regions of the anomaly," Billy said nervously from the conn. "Gravimetric shear is increasing, but it's within acceptable parameters."

"Mister Walker, anything noticable?" Joe asked as the ship started to shake.

"Nothing so far, sir. Still not seeing anything inside this monstrosity," He said, holding onto…

Mission: Operation Looking Glass
Posted on Sat Aug 27th, 2016 @ 5:44am by Captain Joe Rhimer & Lieutenant JG Valeria Mordin

The trip over to the Antares was pleasant, for all parties involved. On the shuttlecraft ride over, the pilot would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the view. Soft furred lagomorphs were exceptionally rare in Starfleet, afterall. Not that his passenger would mind the attention. "How much longer?"…

"Cleared for transfer, effective pending counselor approval". Those were the last words standing in her way. Though, saying it like that made her sound hostile. With a soft smile on her features she walked into the reception room for the counselor's offices and gave the reception that same soft smile.…

They sounded intrinsically wrong.
